The Boblo Islanders play swingy, early jazz and novelty music featuring Hawaiian guitar. They find and ressurect gems from 75-105 years ago-which was the heyday of Hawaiian guitar in popular music. The Boblo live in East Detroit mostly. The lineup features Hawaiian guitar, Spanish guitar, violin, upright bass and sometimes ukulele and banjo.
